WHAT'S NEW AT CYPRESS POINT LAKES!
Annual Meeting
Please do not mail your ballot to the election inspector for the annual election. The annual meeting is going to be held in October and another annual packet will be mailed out in September. The management company has made a mistake as the nominations forms were not mailed out in August. The nomination form has been included with August's newsletter and must be mailed out to allow homeowners the chance to nominate themselves or another resident to fill an open position. If you have any questions please contact the Association Manager.
Parking
CPLakes parking lots may not be used for long-term vehicle storage. Because our parking rules state that inoperable vehicles may not be on the premises, vehicles–even in carports–with outdated registration are subject to towing. Also, vehicles should not be an eyesore (excessively filthy). Please be certain to update your registration punctually. Vehicles in violation may be towed by Sunnyvale Towing.
WiFi'n Google Style
As part of our recent clubhouse rec room upgrades, we've installed a WiFi modem so our residents can access Google's Wifi service from the clubhouse—and even poolside nearby. (Thank you, Google!)
As a shared service, this internet access won't set speed records. But we're hoping patient residents using our clubhouse or sitting by the pool will be able to access e-mail or leisurely peruse the news or Facebook.
Oh yes, repeat after me... "I promise I won't stream music or videos and strangle the hose while others are also online." The imaginative secret network name and password can be found in June's newsletter.
Solar Energy Comes to CP Lakes
A solar heating system was installed for the pool in Stage 1. The board recently approved the installation of a solar heating system for the pool at Stage 1. The system is fully operational and is currently providing 85 degree water to the pool without using the heater. The heater can be used to assist the solar system and the board expects the solar system to pay for itself within the first three summer seasons.
